Grant guest attachment viewing?
What this fix changes

Right now guests get an error on attachment URLs, which means Googlebot and social preview bots do too — every photo your members have posted is invisible to Google Images and link previews.

Clicking Grant permission makes exactly one change:

  • The Unregistered / Unconfirmed user group (user group 1) is granted the global "View attachments to posts" forum permission (forum / viewAttachment), set to Allow — the same box an administrator would tick under Groups & permissions.
What stays as it is: any node-level (per-forum) permission customizations you have set are not touched and keep winning — a forum where you have revoked attachment viewing stays revoked. No other group and no other permission is changed.
